Jackson Professional Firefighters

Thank you for visiting the web site of the Jackson Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 2280. Local 2280 received it’s charter on October 13th, 1973 with 6 members. This was done to maintain and improve the wages and benefits afforded to the full time firefighters of the Township. Today we have 66 members who are dedicated to protecting the lives and property of the citizens of Jackson Township. Our members provide a wide range of services, including but not limited to fire suppression, fire prevention, and education to the community and emergency medical service. Some of our members are also specially trained team members in Hazardous Materials, Confined Space Rescue, Rope Rescue and SWAT Tactical Paramedics.

Our members are also community minded working with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), Aluminum Cans for Burned Children (ACBC), Habitat for Humanity and other local charitable organizations. All of the members of the Jackson Professional Firefighters Local 2280 are dedicated to the community of Jackson Township and it’s citizens.
